I have a love-hate relationship with scores. I love how easy they make selling wine. I hate that they’ve come to dominate the conversation. I know scores matter because scores drive prices. But scores and prices are just numbers and you can’t taste numbers. In any event, here they are, along with some fond remembrances.

These are some of the wines I’ve made for clients over the years. I list them here because I want to recognize the winemakers, vineyards managers and cellar workers I work with around the valley. I also want you to know that I’m pretty good at what I do. So I’ve included scores.
